NTMWD processes fresh water for all of North Dallas and the surrounding cities.


I'm including this here because it was abit unique.
Instead of having laptops and workstations on their desks, we replaced with a simple inexpensive micro terminal about the size of a hocky puck.

With Citrix, The customer simply controlled application licensing and access through Active Directory Groups.
If the Terminal had issues.. it was simple to swap out for another. They were all the same
This allows the customer to centralize their applications while removing the larger maintenance associated with imaging and patching workstations.

The servers originally 5 older Dell SC models were completely replace with 7 new Dell servers.

 

Notable savings:

Only 2 technicians were needed to service this entire organization due to the low desk side footprint and centralized management.
